We have a busy few months ahead with training courses. We are now in week 3 of the 8 week Phonological Awareness and Phonics Course for English Teachers with 370 active participants! We have been asked to again run a 10 day English Intensive program on Zoom for 500 new Commerce Degree undergrads at the University of Jaffna! That will start on 28th April – two classes a day for 10 days. Then on 3rd May we launch the fourth and capstone course in our teacher training curriculum – a five week online course on Screening, Monitoring, Assessment and Remedial Intervention for Reading Skills. Then … yes there’s more!!! On 11th May we commence the third course in our curriculum – The Lotus Reading Program Course – for teachers who have successfully completed the previous two courses in the curriculum.
That takes care of the first half of 2025!! More to come in the second half! And all of this is now done online in partnership with the University of Jaffna and South Eastern University of Sri Lanka.
