Mr Jegasothy Eugene Yogananthan, Assistant Director of Education, Eastern Province, Sri Lanka, sadly passed away on Tuesday 18th March, 2014 from injuries sustained in a motor accident in Trincomalee. Mr. Yoganathan worked closely with PIMD for most of our ten years in Sri Lanka. We owe him an enormous debt of gratitude for his unfailing support and perseverance in matters large and small from clearing computers through customs to supporting our team during our visits, and the schools in the PIMD program in our absence. He was a dedicated educator who worked tirelessly for the schools and teachers in the Eastern Province to improve the teaching and learning of English as a second language.
