In August Dr. Mahesan Kandaiya, President of PIMD and Dr. Donna Vaughan, Vice President, met with Provincial Education Department Directors and other senior staff to review progress of the Lotus Program. Both Provinces requested significant expansion of the program so that it would reach more schools. PIMD agreed to expand from the initial pilot of 6 schools to 40 schools in total across both Provinces within 12 months.
