In July 2011 PIMD conducted the first teacher training workshop for the new phase of our Lotus Program focusing on English and Computer Literacy for Grades 3-5. Forty teachers from six schools participated. They were introduced to teaching techniques and approaches for English Literacy based on the use of levelled readers in both guided (small group) and shared (whole class) reading and writing lessons.
